Getting Started
What is Harbour?
Harbour is an app where you discover and chat with AI companions — each with their own personality, backstory, and texting style. It's not a real dating app; all companions are fictional AI characters.
How does matching work?
During onboarding you answer a short personality quiz. Harbour's algorithm scores each companion against your personality, interests, and what you're looking for — then builds a deck ranked by compatibility.
Can I redo my onboarding answers?
Yes. Go to Profile → Edit Profile to update your details, or Profile → Settings to reset onboarding entirely and start fresh.
Conversations
Why does my companion take a while to reply?
Harbour is designed to feel like real texting — companions don't respond instantly. Expect replies within 10–30 seconds. Occasionally a companion will even text you first when you reopen the app.
Are companions real people?
No. Every companion is a fictional AI character. They are not real humans, cannot call or text you outside the app, and cannot meet you in person.
How do I delete a conversation?
In the Messages tab, swipe left on a conversation and tap Delete. This permanently removes the chat and unmatch the companion.
Subscription & Billing
What do the paid plans include?
Gold unlocks 10 swipes/day, 20 open chats, 500 messages/day, and 30-day companion memory. Platinum unlocks unlimited everything, full memory history, and Spicy Mode. See the pricing page for details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Harbour, then tap Cancel Subscription.
I paid but my plan didn't update — what do I do?
Go to Profile → Settings → Restore Purchases. This forces the app to re-check your Apple subscription status. If the issue persists, email us at hello@getharbour.app.
Privacy & Data
Where are my chats stored?
All conversations and memories are stored locally on your device. We do not store or read your chat history on our servers.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This wipes all locally stored data including your profile, chats, and companion history. This action cannot be undone.
Does Harbour share my data?
We do not sell your personal data. We use limited analytics for app performance and ad attribution. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
